A Green Christmas At Lime Gardens

The first people to move to a new eco-friendly housing development in Nottinghamshire are looking forward to celebrating a ‘green’ Christmas in their new home.
Vincent and Karen Tobin were so keen to move to Lime Gardens in Sutton Bonington that they reserved a plot with William Davis Homes before a brick was laid.
The couple’s beautiful four-bedroom home has been designed to achieve the highest A energy efficiency rating (the national average is D). It has enhanced standards of floor, wall and roof insulation as well as solar panels (photovoltaic cells) and an EV charging point.
“We love all the environmentally friendly features of Lime Gardens,” said Karen. “Our new home is perfect and we’re looking forward to having a lovely family Christmas here.”
By moving to Lime Gardens, Mr and Mrs Tobin have been able to downsize from their previous home in Loughborough. They are also able to help with childcare for their two grandchildren who live in Sutton Bonington.
“It’s a really friendly village and this development is spacious and beautifully designed,” said Vincent. “I’m also confident that the energy-saving features will mean our household bills will be around half of what you’d expect for a four-bedroom house.”
Lime Gardens includes a high proportion of open space (four acres) including a network of paths through a biodiversity park, a ‘village green’ with boardwalk and pond, an equipped children’s play area and a community orchard.
“We visited several William Davis sites to view the showhomes and the sales teams were extremely helpful,” added Karen. “Fay, who’s the sales consultant here at Sutton Bonington, couldn’t do enough for us. The after-sales care has been brilliant.”
“William Davis’ attention to detail has been first-class, it’s really high-spec, and we’ve settled in so well. We can’t wait to have a family Christmas in our new home.”
