A Place To Call Home For Picnic Couple
A Leicestershire couple whose first date was a picnic shortly after the Covid pandemic are now preparing for married life in their brand new home.
Global accounts manager Sarju, pictured with his wife-to-be Sheetal, says he’s delighted to have finally found a place he can call home, after moving house more than a dozen times.
The couple have moved into a stunning four-bedroom William Davis home at the new Thorpebury-in-the-Limes development near Thurmaston and are getting married soon.
“After stepping inside the house for the first time, I had to keep pinching myself to make sure it was all real,” said Sarju. “I’ve moved house about 15 times during my life, but this is the first place I can truly call home. We both love it.”
“The garden really impressed us straight away,” said Sheetal. “There’s so much space and it’s a lovely living area.”
Sarju has used his DIY skills to add a veranda in the garden, while Sheetal’s talent as an artist has inspired an attractive décor, including an Instagram Wall next to the patio.
The couple are hoping to invite neighbours to a celebratory garden party after their wedding. “It’s a really friendly community here,” added Sarju. “We even had a street party earlier this year.”
Sarju praised the sales team at William Davis for ensuring the buying process was smooth.
The company has secured the Home Builders Federation ‘5 star’ status for the ninth year in row. The sought-after award is based on independent customer satisfaction surveys.
Sarju and Sheetal are now making final preparations for their wedding day, with Sheetal’s son and daughter, 20 year old Shyam and Ria, who is 19, joining the celebrations along with Cocker Spaniel, India.
